Car Insurance BMW (Car Insurance). What is a good suspension package for my Wrangler JK Unlimited?

What is a good suspension package for my Wrangler JK Unlimited? I have a 2008 Wrangler JK Unlimited. I was out with a friend who has a Chevy truck, and found his offered a much softer ride on the trails. After a day out with my Jeep, I feel beat-up and knocked-around. His truck barely noticed a number of the bumps that sent my Jeep rocking all over the place. I assume that there's an advantage to having a hard suspension, but I don't do anything all that extreme, so having a softer ride would be nice. What do I want to look for in a suspension system if I'd like ride more like his offers?

rough country or soft ride are good brands also ez ride The main thing that will beat you up are the shocks. An Old Man Emu suspension by ARB is the best bet for a mild lift and great ride.

BMW . Bush pilots: Airplane vs Helicopter as a career?

Bush pilots: Airplane vs Helicopter as a career? Hey, I live in Canada and would like to become a professional pilot. I would love to work on rescue missions or in inhabited places doing transportation or even things like cartography or putting out fires or rescue polar bears. basically I want to do something more "adventure" type and be in contact with nature rather than Airline work. I would love to work in the pacific side like BC or northern territories. I live in the QC so here the training is free ( i know, we're pretty lucky ), it's a 3 years program. I could take either "Bush Piloting" (I would have training on single motor airplanes with skis and floaters , and I would get my Professional and private license for airplanes) or I could take "helicopter" ( I would have training on helicopters AND single motors airplanes, I would get my professional license for helicopter but only my PRIVATE license for single motor airplanes), so if i take "helicopter" I could still ride airplanes as a hobby but not as a job... In either program I would also get my license to transport dangerous things, such as people, logs, water, supplies etc. I don't know what I should do... which path would suit me better ?? Thanks !!!!! car insurance.

BMW . How to Replace a Turn Signal on an Acura Mdx

Acura's MDX luxury SUV uses standard halogen bulbs for its front and rear turn signals. The MDX was introduced for the 2001 model year; it was substantially redesigned for the 2007 model year. The first and second-generation MDX use similar bulb setups. Although the bulbs used are different, the replacement procedure is almost exactly the same between the two models. Replace your turn signals as soon as possible, if you discover one is burnt out.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Gloves
Flat-head screwdriver
Socket wrench (rear only)
Replacement bulbs (see Tips)Replacing the Front Turn Signals

Step by Step :
1
Wear a pair of clean gloves before beginning. Touching the new turn-signal bulbs with your hands will cause them to burn out.
2
Remove the front-bulkhead cover from the engine compartment, if you're replacing the turn signal in a second-generation Acura MDX (2007 and newer). If you're replacing the turn signal in a first-generation model (2001 to 2006), this is unnecessary.

Eight holding clips hold on the front-bulkhead cover. Remove each clip by inserting a flat-head screwdriver underneath the tip, and pushing up. Once the clips are out, lift the cover and move it away.
3
Locate the turn-signal bulb socket and carefully twist it counterclockwise to detach it. The turn signal is the bulb closest to the fender well on either side of the MDX. Lift the turn-signal bulb socket out of the engine compartment to access it.
4
Pull the old bulb straight out the turn-signal socket. Push the new bulb down into the socket completely. Re-insert the turn-signal socket back in place. Twist it clockwise to attach it. Repeat the procedure, if necessary, for the other side. Turn on the turn-signals to check the lights before replacing the front-bulkhead cover.
5
Move the front-bulkhead cover back in place, lining up the holes in it with the mounting holes in the engine compartment. Re-attach the eight holding clips by pushing them down firmly.
Replacing the Rear Turn Signals

Step by Step :
1
Put on a pair of clean gloves. Open the rear-cargo door. Inspect the area next to the tail-light assembly, near the rear-cargo door support shocks. You'll find two small covers. Pry these covers out with a flat-head screwdriver.
2
Remove the two bolts behind the covers with a socket wrench. Pull the entire tail-light assembly out of its cavity to access the bulbs. The rear-turn signal bulb is the front center bulb (facing the MDX's front).
3
Twist the turn-signal socket counterclockwise gently. Pull it out of the assembly. Pull the old bulb out of the socket; insert the new bulb fully. Place the turn-signal socket back into place; turn it clockwise.
4
Place the tail-light assembly back in its cavity. Tighten the two bolts with the socket wrench, and then push the two covers back in place to hide the bolts. Close the rear-cargo door.
Tips & Warnings
First-generation MDXs use bulb number 3497 for the front-turn signal and bulb number 1157A for the rear-turn signal.

Second-generation MDX models use bulb number 992 for the front and 7440 for the rear.

BMW . How to Replace the Turn Signal Flasher on a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am

When the turn signal on your 1994 Pontiac Grand Am stops flashing, the relay may have failed. When the relay fails, other drivers on the road will have no indication when you are turning or changing lanes. It is important to keep your turn signals in proper working condition at all times for your safety and that of others on the road. You can easily replace the relay in minutes at home. Buy a new relay from an auto parts retail store.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions

Step by Step :
1
Slide the driver seat all the way back on the adjustment track to open up space to work under the driver's side of the dash.
2
Lie on your back on the driver side floorboard and reach up underneath the dashboard. Locate the turn signal relay behind the fuse panel on the driver side. The relay is a large, cylinder-shaped object that plugs into a relay outlet on the backside of the fuse panel.
3
Pull the turn signal relay straight out of the relay outlet. Plug the new relay straight into the outlet. The prongs on the relay are specific, so the relay will only plug in one way.
4
Turn the ignition key to the "ACC" position and cycle through the turn signals to test the new relay.

Flat gauge Wrong The gauge wire probably has a lot of room to wiggle around in. This may be because your old plug has worn down its center electrode, causing a gap that is too large. If the gauge goes in and out with a lot of room on either side, the gap is too large. If the gauge can't fit between the center and side electrodes, the gap is too small, which means that the spark plug is not burning the fuel/air mixture efficiently. 521 Car Insurance mercedes benz e class 1996 e320sedan4d 119859

Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System 5. Look at the little center electrode bump again and use Table 12-1 to judge its condition. Is it nice and cylindrical, like the center electrodes on your new spark plugs? Has the electrode's flat top worn down to a rounded lump? Or has it worn down on only one side? Chances are it's pretty worn because it's old. When the center electrode wears down, the gap becomes too large. When you do your tune-ups yourself, you'll probably check your plugs more often and replace them before they get too worn to operate efficiently. 6. Clean the plug. Then either gap it or replace it with a new one, following the instructions in the next two sections. To clean a plug, gently scrub the gunk and goo away with a wire brush. Keep in mind that although you don't need to clean new spark plugs, you do need to gap them. Some plugs are sold "pregapped," but I'd check them with a feeler gauge anyway. 7. Repeat the entire process for each additional plug, working on only one at a time. A good way to keep track of which plug belongs in which cylinder is to use an egg carton as a container and put the plugs into the carton's depressions in numerical order as you remove them from the engine. Either replace all the plugs with new ones or clean and reinstall all the old ones. Don't mix plugs in varying states of wear. If you do, your engine won't operate efficiently. If you find that a few of your old plugs aren't too worn and are in fairly good shape, but you need to replace the others, clean and regap the salvageable plugs and store them in your trunk compartment tool kit for emergencies.

Sometimes you can cure a problem — such as carbon-fouled plugs — by going to a hotter- or cooler-burning plug. You can identify these by the plug number. The higher the number, the hotter the plug. Never go more than one step hotter or cooler at a time. If your plugs indicate that something is seriously wrong with the way your engine is running, ask a professional mechanic for an opinion. If you're told that it requires extensive or expensive work, get a second opinion at another service facility without telling the technicians that you went to the first place. This is a good policy to follow whenever major repair work is suggested. We wisely get second opinions when doctors tell us we need major surgery; why not give your vehicle the same thorough attention before incurring a major expense? . 223 Gapping your spark plugs As I mentioned in the preceding section, the space, or gap, between the center and side electrodes needs to be a particular distance across; otherwise, your plugs don't fire efficiently. Adjusting the distance between the two electrodes is called gapping your spark plugs. Gap new as well as old spark plugs, even if the package says that the new plugs are "pre-gapped." To avoid problems, work on only one plug at a time, in cylinder sequence order. The following steps explain how to gap your spark plugs: 1. If you're regapping a used plug, make sure that it's clean. If you're using a new plug, it should be clean and new-looking, with the tip of the side electrode centered over the center electrode. There should be no cracks or bubbles in the porcelain insulator, and the threads should be unbroken. 2. Take your feeler gauge, select the proper wire, and run it between the electrodes (see Figure 12-12). If the wire doesn't go through or if it goes through too easily, without touching the electrodes, you need to adjust the distance between the electrodes. Figure 12-12: Gapping a plug with a wire gauge.
